Dr Rafiq Masoodi nominated AMK Patron

Srinagar, Jan 08 (LW): Former Additional Director General Doordarshan, Secretary J&K Cultural Academy and distinguished Scholar and author Dr Rafiq Masoodi has been nominated as Patron of world renowned literary organisation the Adab e Markaz Kamraz, Dr Masoodi was nominated for the coveted position after detailed discussion and consultations of the AMK executive body.Meanwhile various literary organisations and writers have appreciated the AMK decision and congratulated Dr Masoodi. Meanwhile Dr Masoodi expressed gratitude to AMK executive body and it’s president and vowed to work to the best of his capability in taking the organisation forward.

In a statement to RNA, Dr Masoodi said , “It is indeed a gr8 honor for anybody but also a huge challenge for an ordinary person like I as it puts one on judgemental track to be so of a 51 year old literary movement like AMK.

I feel humbled & honored the way all executive & council has put in trust & faith in me & pray that I live upto the expectations of A-Z AMK. My sincere thanks to the president & his entire team and again one n all members of Adbi Markaz Kamraz & solicit their kind support & co-operation in the journey hereafter which had the stewardship of legends.Thanks once again.(LW)
