AMK retiriates demand of classical status for Kashmiri language

Srinagar, 08 Jan: Adbi Markaz Kamraz J & K on Sunday retiriateed the demand of classical status for the Kashmiri language following the memorundum organization earlier submitted to JK Government.

The demand was raised by AMK excutive which met at AMK head office Baramulla on Sunday.
Excutive meeting headed by AMK President retiriated the demand of classical status for kashmiri language.

Earlier AMK JK from the year 2014 intiated a move and apprised JK government about the merits of the Kashmiri language to be included in classical status.

"Kashmiri is an oldest language metioned in Hindu religious scriptures like Nilmathpurana,and have rich literary and linguistic past and deserves to be a classical language"AMK President Amin Bhat said during the meeting.

Retiriating the demand,Bhat said that the demand was earlier submitted to government under advisory of prominent scholars,academicians and language activists which was responded well by the government machinery.

"We are again requesting JK government to consider the demand on merits and submitted detailed memorundum for the same substantiated with earlier communication"Bhat said.

The excutive also discussed the modalities for the forthcoming Jammu Confrence set to held before ending February and paid rich tributes to Prof Rashid Nazki on his 7th Anniversary.

The executive of the AMK JK after detailed consultation and discussion nominated a prominent writer and former Deputy Director General Door Darshan Dr. Rafique Masoodi as the patron of Adbi Markaz Kamraz JK.

Prof Frooq Fayaz an Shabnum Teligailmi General Secretary AMK JK, a poet and translator werw also felicitated on receiving the Sahitiya Academy Awards.

A day long poetic session chaired by Amin Bhat president AMK JK was also organised later after the meeting.Poets who participated in the session include Sagar Sarfraz,Masroor Muzzafer,Mir Tariq Rasool,Adil Ismail,Farooq Shahen,Jameel Ansari,Akbar Miskeen,G Rasool Ajasi,Rashid Roshan,Mumtaz Bukhari,Mehtab Manzoor, Zahoor Hyigami,Farooq Sumbali,Ghulam Muhmmad Tawhidi,M Rafiq Mir,Mushtaq Sumbali,Nazir Tabasum,Akram Pardesi,Hasan Ajmi,Bashir Tair,Gh Muhmmad Tawhidi, and GM Mahir.

The proceedings of the poetic session were carried by Abid Ashraf.
